What is the reason you play UD? I was thinking about how the SU isn't a mass of new players with a bell curve to more experienced players like other groups are. I feel like we are more top heavy (if you will,) a small corps of experienced players who manage to accomplish more per player than larger groups.
I certainly feel like I have little passion for the game, I just get enjoyment out of consistent strategic decision-making and keeping the burb running in good shape. Thoughts?

er...i have NO idea why i play...at first it was just determination to understand the rules..now its just fun to worry about zombies with out having to be freaked out over if they could happen to be under my window  |

I continue to play--if somewhat listlessly these days--out of a weird sense of duty toward the suburb and a perfectly reasonable loyalty to you guys. Since I have a hard time stopping things once I start (although I haven't had a cigarette in three weeks--woo hoo!), I predict that I will still be playing when Kevan decides to nuke the entire city.

beer, no really, i like beer.
well, now a days, just to see if i made it through the night.
that and a chance to taunt zeds.
i still enjoy helping new players and the commadrie o the crew, withh a little RP thrown in. maybe a bit o habit. like anything, this can get a bit old. i'll stay away fer a vday or two when i get ta feeling that way butso far i always seem to come back.

Today I was given pause by the statement "You are duglis" that's in the main UD screen. I never really paid attention to it before, but I noticed it this time. Isn't that a weird thing to read, this oddly emphatic existential statement?
I get philosophical sometimes. *shrug*
