Okay, I don't know how this is physically possible, so I'm thinking maybe zombies in Lerwill are cheating. I just ran out to do a revive. I was outside my safehouse for maybe 20 seconds, most of that on the move. Still, I was attacked! And not just once; I left my safehouse with 50HP, and I was down to 32 when I returned. This is the second time this sort of thing has happened to me. The first time I just assumed it was bad luck that a zombie was logged in at the same time, but this time is even harder to explain like that. Seriously, I was getting attacked so fast I didn't even take the time to check the profiles of the zombies attacking me, because in that time I probably would have been killed. ADDITION: I forgot that I could hit Back on my browser to get back to the screen with the attack and check my attacker's profile. It was this guy: www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=241421Apparently he hit me a dozen times in the second I was running through the block he was standing at. wtf

As far as I'm aware, that's possible. If they had no lag, they could have hit 6 times in 20 seconds.

Yes, I would call it amazing luck, not cheating.

Ah, but I'm not talking about standing on a block with him for 20 seconds. It was around 20 seconds total that I ran from my safehouse to a revive point and back, and he was on a block I ran through. Besides, even if I had been in one place for 20 seconds, how did he even know I was there? In order to attack for the full length of time that I was on the same block as him, he'd have had to be aware of my presense within a fraction of a second of my arrival.
Either this is cheating or somebody's got nothing better to do all day than sit in one place hitting Refresh over and over and over as fast as he can.

Just guessing here but I think someone cleared their cookies and whipped out the old Tangling Grasp on you.

Is that a way for a zombie to attack someone who's already left the block? Come to think of it, part of why I was confused during the attack is because I got the message about being attacked on a different block from where my attacker was.

I have had that happen once before too. I had scanned a rotter, moved back and then later saw that I was hit while in the safe room. This is clearly a bug and the guy is taking advantage of it.

Yea tangling grasp dosen't even keep you in the block if your moving through there. This happened to me a month ago and I stoped in the next square already and I had the old attacked ...and again ...and again ...and again on me and there was no zombie in any square i could see it was like a phantom drive by biting.

One morning I logged in and discovered that I had been attacked, killed, DUMPED, revived and healed and was STILL in my safehouse. *I keep looking for that "drag survivor by hair into safehouse" key everytime I play now!*
Several times I've stood face to face with a zombie and scanned and was told there was nothing to scan. *Yes, I made sure I was scanning the zombie and not myself.*
Recently, I was attacked at the revive point and I got the message that the bite was infected but I had 50 HPs and didn't lose any HPs running back to the safehouse. Started at 50, ended at 50.
The weirdest thing I've seen recently was a fellow player saying he woke up three suburbs away from our safehouse and he had been killed and dumped in the streets. Strangely enough, the whole group could still see "him" at our base while someone else in the group was reviving "him" six blocks away at our private revive point.
In short, alien zombies are here messing with the rest of our game. Or we have bugs. *shrugs*

I heard on the wiki that it was theoretically possible to creat a bot like program which would automatically refresh the page, search for specific text, and then proform an action. You would only have to pay $5 for the character to prevent the server hit limit from stopping you. The example was a barricading character, but Im sure some enterprising young lad could make one for a zombie that automatically attacks any survivors in the block. Maybe even move on its own to follow a survivor. Or, with some skill, make one that screws with the cookies like perviously mentioned.

Yeah, I remember a couple of months ago and the urbanites. Prosperina said they were healing/spy bots. I suppose anything is possible.

I find it much easier just to worry about zombies in general, rather than wondering whether they're cheating or not. But then I'm a simple fireman.

The level 1 spies are the ones that worry me.
