When you're out of ammo and just can't bring yourself to do even one more combat revive, I think you can roll the newpapers up and smack zombies on the nose and say "sit, BooBoo, sit"

Smoke signals might be better than flares.
I think the only thing flares tell you is
someone just ran out of ammo 4 blocks east and 13 blocks south. ... and again.
thats the last thing I care about in this game.
At least froans tell you some one is in trouble and there may be a zombie there you can combat revive.

Flares are a good 'hail mary pass' attempt at killing a zed. I keep one on me for good luck.

Yeah,
I don't dump them. I wait until I have a pile at them at have a go. Only hit anything once though. But it sure felt good.
I could just hear the zombie...a flare, killed by a flare!

Too bad we can't use them to start fires.

Actually, I think that's a good thing. PKers would probably burn Malton to the ground.

maby a good suggestion a camp fire one you can start outsite on the street will ad a new skill - build camp fire
a fire will stop afther 5 hours or something in that way if you dont use this item
once you got build camp fire you can also get
- smoke signals
items fire extinguiser: can be used to stop a camp fire zombies can use it as well lighter: used to start a fire. new use of newspaperscous i think it sucks for wat they are now got like 11 newspapers will take me up to 11 ap to read them or trow them away so i just read them will get a use option. wenn used on your self you will read the newspaper getting same old boring message stuff like now. wenn used on camp fire it will say. the campfire starts to smoke. wenn you have the skill smoke signals you get the option to signal: text bar. you signal: ........... with your shirt it will say your near a smoking camp fire. wenn somewann used a newspaper on it. will stay that way for 30 min or something like that. wenn there is still a newspaper to be put on it. your near a hot camp fire

Thinktank, don't use your APs to read those newspapers, dear. Just drop them and it doesn't cost an AP to do that. (Be careful with that drop key, though. Its a tricky little sucker, right, Duglis?)

nope, you can drop things to your heart's content. and sometimes to your heart's malcontent! *i've dropped syringes, ammo, flak jackets, mobile phones, etc., and it didn't cost me nary an AP, nope, nope, it didn't, not a single one. but i've found that most dumbass moves are "free" except freerunning out of a building and into a wasteland.*

(Be careful with that drop key, though. Its a tricky little sucker, right, Duglis?) Actually, I've never dropped anything important. My problem is wasting items on the wrong target (eg. using syringes on dead bodies.)
