These are not the intended colours. I just changed them so that people could get a feel for the way they could be.

 The Green is nice, but with the purple and orange, it's not working out too well. Maybe more of a blue?

I think with a nicer green theme it would look quite nice, not sure about black text on green background but that's a minor point. The orange and purple are pretty hideous.

I like the dark green on the background. The bright green is a little too bright. Also the blue needs more of a green hue and I don't like the red lines around the boxes.
Also, I agree with wronghorn about the text colour, you can't really read the black text.
Apart from that, ...I still don't like it.

Maybe some simple earth tones. I know I could, if given the opportunity, could make some images for this board. I daresay I've had a bit of practice...if not, I still say some simple earth tones like browns and dark green. White and dark blue works good, too.

I'll vouch for Drem's ability if you want to try and use it. The fellow's helped me out on several failed boards I've tried to establish and has made them look awesome.

So, are the colours going to become less eye gouging soon? Or is this a forum-off to see which clan can come up with the worst colour scheme? Cause the KoSJ will BRING IT!

Now come on Jonny,
With 5 blindings and 3 pukings, I reckon you'd be hard pushed to design a worse colour scheme than mine!
Indeed, the people at work have also commented on my "special" colour designs a number of times.
I feel I must be naturally gifted in this area.
