* Some of the stronger zombies have been reported to be dragging critically-wounded survivors out of their safehouses and into the streets, either to feed the waiting hordes or to finish their own meal undisturbed. Any survivor with 12HP or less is at risk. * Scent Fear now echoes this by displaying vulnerable survivors as "dying", and the skill has been moved back to the base of the Scent tree. * Ransacked buildings must now be cleared before they can be barricaded. dem this sucks luckly you got a medic but this just... the ranscacked building thing also means if we have a zombie in a hospital we have to kill him first befor we can start barricading and afther we killed him we must repair and then we can barricade not to bad but it does sucks basicly it means if we dont kill all zombies befor one stands up again they can get in again so we need to kill all befor one gets back in again

For whatever reason, I've been working under this assumption for a while now, so this doesn't disturb me in the slightest. Actually, I rather like the change: far more in keeping with my notion of what life during a zombie apocalypse would actually be like.

Looks like I started climbing the Firearms skill tree just in time. Just 100 more XP to get Shotgun training and then I'll be blasting zombies to help clear buildings.

Pardon the intrusion but I just wanted to say that it's not quite as bad as it sounds.
The only time a building cannot be barricaded is when it has been ransacked and in order for a zombie to ransack a building, it must be devoid of survivors. Therefore if a zombie breaks into a hospital while it is occupied and operational, the place can be barricaded immediately, before killing the zombie.
See that's not so bad after all... unless you live in a suburb that happens to be heavily populated by zombies.

I had thought zombies could ransack buildings regardless of whether survivors are present.
Also, which Knight are you?

Nope, all survivors have to be out of the building before you can ransack. Just confirmed it myself. Makes sense.

One or the other of my alts has looked for a crate every time they've been dropped, never with any success. I'm not even going to bother this time around. It would be great fun to find one, but I can't see wasting the AP looking when there's so much work to be done. Best of luck to everyone else, though!
Think, crates need to be broken open, which takes a few AP, and inside are all kinds of useful goodies: ammo, FAKs, etc. Finding one is like getting a nice Christmas present for the lucky sod who does so, but they don't do much good overall, as far as I know.

22nd July 2006 * Memo to NecroTech staff: Specimen data has now been declassified for the benefit of street personnel - DNA extractions now permit a full readout of specimen information in the form of a profile link. This real-time access means that scanned specimens can now be revived immediately if necessary, rather than being lost in the crowd. this is nice

Well, the era of zombies griefing revive points is now over. At least this should make it slightly easier to get lerwill back on its feet.
